Struggling to keep up the momentum mid-week? You're not alone!

Updated: Oct 31

Wednesday can be a reminder of how much still needs to be done by Friday!  By reframing the mid-week as a chance to reset, we have found ways to keep the momentum going.

Tips to keep you motivated:

  • Check how far you’ve come and what you’ve achieved so far- Celebrate these wins, congratulate yourself!.

  • Start by tackling those frogs! If you have a to-do list that needs completing by the end of the week, start by tackling the most mundane tasks first, it’ll motivate you to keep going.

  • Make sure you take time to re-set… Go for a 10-minute walk in nature and fresh air, take a full lunchbreak doing something that you enjoy.

  • Break down larger tasks into small chunks.

  • Switch up your routine! Try moving to a different location.  If you work from home, take your laptop into a different room, or spend the day working from your favourite bistro or tearoom.

  • Re-connect with a coworker, update each other on your progress. This helps to keep you focused on what is still achievable by the end of the week and provides the opportunity of new perspectives.

  • Delegate tasks if you are feeling overwhelmed. This will help to minimise stress and anxiety and reach your goals.

  • Play upbeat music- This helps to improve your mood and keep focused.

  • If you haven’t already, plan for the weekend.  This keeps the end in sight and provides recognition for your hard work.

  • Check-in with yourself with gratitude by recognising what is going well.

With these tips, your mid-week routine can feel purposeful, productive, and positive, giving you that extra push to meet your milestones.
